Dean Mai

Dean is a Partner at Myriad Venture Partners. He seeks a partnership with founders building technologies that change the way modern enterprises operate across AI & compute, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, security and open-source.

Previously, Dean managed global strategic investments, technology scouting, sourcing and diligence of emerging high-risk, high-reward technologies at Dyson synergetic to Dyson’s RDD, NPI and NPD groups, focusing on differentiated scientific understanding or novel engineering solution across AI & ML, energy storage (batteries), high-speed digital motors, power electronics, embedded sensors, turbomachinery (aero-thermodynamics and flow), spectroscopy, particle separation (filtration), and materials.

Prior, Dean served as a Head of Emerging Technologies at the Bressler Group, partnering with emerging technology startups and SMBs on product development, technology transfer and IP strategies. Prior to the Bressler Group, Dean served Deputy Commander of the 669th Special Rescue Tactical Unit (Israeli Air Force Special Operations Forces), where he led development of novel medical & biotechnological hardware & software platforms for airborne missions as well as trained and oversaw tactical combat teams in airborne search & rescue military and civilian operations.

Dean brings to Myriad more than a decade of international experience in business development, strategy, and venture capital, as well as a global network of operators, advisors, entrepreneurs, and investors.

Dean holds a Bachelor of Laws with a concentration in Intellectual Property and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Reichman University.
